A liar cowboy
Jack was a cowboy who loved to tell lies. He would brag about his adventures in the Wild West, how he fought bandits, tamed wild horses, and wooed beautiful women. He would make up stories about his exploits and exaggerate his skills. He enjoyed the attention and admiration he got from his listeners, who were mostly gullible townsfolk.
One day, a stranger came to town. He was a tall, dark-haired man with a scar on his cheek. He wore a black hat and a long coat. He had a pair of revolvers on his belt and a rifle on his shoulder. He looked like a dangerous outlaw.
Jack saw the stranger and decided to impress him with his lies. He approached him at the saloon and introduced himself as the fastest gun in the West. He said he had killed dozens of men in duels and had a bounty on his head. He said he was looking for a new challenge and asked the stranger if he wanted to face him.
The stranger looked at Jack with a cold stare. He said he didn’t know who Jack was, but he didn’t like liars. He said he could tell that Jack was lying about everything. He said he was not afraid of Jack and accepted his challenge. He told Jack to meet him at noon the next day outside the saloon.
Jack felt a surge of fear. He realized that he had made a terrible mistake. He knew that the stranger was telling the truth and that he was no match for him. He wished he could take back his words, but it was too late. He had to face the consequences of his lies.
The next day, Jack showed up at the saloon with a trembling hand. He saw the stranger waiting for him with a confident smile. The townsfolk gathered around to watch the duel. Jack knew he had no chance of winning. He wished he could run away, but he had no choice. He had to face the stranger.
The stranger drew his revolver and aimed at Jack. Jack tried to do the same, but his hand was too shaky. He fumbled with his gun and dropped it on the ground. The stranger fired a single shot and hit Jack in the chest. Jack fell to the ground, clutching his wound.
The stranger holstered his gun and walked away. He said to the townsfolk, “That’s what happens to liars.” The townsfolk were shocked by what they saw. They realized that Jack had lied to them all along. They felt sorry for him, but they also felt angry and betrayed.
Jack lay on the ground, bleeding and dying. He regretted his lies and wished he had lived an honest life. He realized that lying had brought him nothing but trouble and misery. He whispered his last words, “I’m sorry.” Then he closed his eyes and breathed his last.
